My name is Michele Benetti, I am from Bassano del Grappa, Northeast Italy, not too far from Padua and Venice. I live in Cracow, Poland, where I work as B2B Support Engineer. I gained my master school degree in Microelectronics and Applied Electronics at Padua University. I like programming in general and I am familiar with procedural and object oriented programming languages like C, C++, Java, PHP and the Web programming in LAMP technology. As advanced user of Debian Gnu/Linux I am an enthusiastic and firm supporter of Free and Open Source Software. In my spare time, I like cooking, watching author movies, walking in the mountains and finally travelling.
Advanced technical support: On site and remote assistance to the clients, identifying and resolving several computer's issues. Familiarity with VMWARE technology and self-managed virtual infrastructure, Windows servers and clients.
Web developing of small projects in LAMP (Linux Apache Mysql Php) technology: css, xhtml, procedural php and Mysql.
Small and medium business network support: design and configuration of small and medium computer networks.
LibroScambio : It's a website that I developed, with a friend of mine, to let the Italian students sell their used textbooks online. After registration, a student can insert, directly from home, his/her books specifying his/her city and other useful information. In this way, other students can search for sellers nearby and drive the bargain. To respect privacy, students contact each other exclusively by email. The entire website has been developed using php, xhtml, css, mysql DBMS and some java scripts. We developed both frontend and backend and above you can find some images and relative description.
Grappa/FSD: I am co-founder of this group of Italian programmers which likes to develop small projects for fun with Open Source and Free Software.
Translation of famous Polish songs: I am trying to learn Polish. To let it be more interesting, I am translating in Italian the most famous Polish songs. If you're interested to learn Polish too, you can download them here. Good luck!
